The Jack Russell Terrier originally comes from England and was named after Reverend John Russell, who developed the breed during the 1800s. It's a strong and agile little dog, originally intended for fox hunting.

It stands about 25–30 cm at the shoulder and comes in two coat types, smooth and rough. It's a very popular companion dog with high self-confidence. A social and active little terrier well-suited for dog sports like agility.
